Geminin (GMNN) is a nuclear regulator protein encoded by GMNN gene. This gene is located on human chromosome 6p22.3. It is expressed in the the cell cycle during S, G2 and M phases.

生化/生理作用
Geminin (GMNN) prevents replication of DNA. It participates in cancer pathophysiology and developmental process. This protein also participates in several stages of development like pre-implantation, germ layer formation, cell commitment and specification. It also has roles in the maintenance of genome integrity at mid blastula transition, epithelial to mesenchymal transition during gastrulation, neural development, organogenesis and axis patterning. GMNN controls chromatin remodeling.
