一般描述

单胺氧化酶(MAO，EC 1.4.3.4)是一个可以氧化各种内源性一级胺的酶家族。根据单胺氧化酶的底物、抑制剂特异性和组织分布，可以将其分为MAO-A和MAO-B两种亚型。MAO-B可以氧化一级胺，但是其特异性底物(即，苄胺和苯乙胺)的数量少于MAO-A。

原理

This MAO-A Inhibitor Screening Kit offers a rapid, simple, sensitive, and reliable test suitable for high-throughput screening of MAO-A inhibitors. The assay is based on the fluorometric detection of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), one of the by-products generated during the oxidative deamination of the MAO substrate (tyramine).
