一般描述

基质金属蛋白酶-3(MMP-3，溶基质素-1)表现出的一些活性，使其成为良好的肿瘤启动子。与其他几种MMP相似，MMP-3作为癌症特异性基因，先后经过首次克隆和再次克隆。除了可以降解大量细胞外基质，MMP-3还能够激活明胶酶B、胶原酶和多种丝氨酸蛋白酶抑制剂。此外，它还能够释放大量细胞表面分子，包括E-钙粘素，一种已知可导致癌症发生的蛋白质。

原理

Matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) assay kit, MMP-3 hydrolyzes a specific FRET (fluorescence resonance energy transfer) substrate to release the quenched fluorescent group Mca, which can be detected fluorometrically (lex = 325 nm/lem = 393 nm). The kit provides a rapid, simple, sensitive and reliable test, which can also be used as a high throughput assay of MMP-3 activity. The assay sensitivity is <50 mU.
