应用

Diatomaceous earth may be used as an adsorbent for column chromatography.
It may be used in the synthesis of the following:

Chitosan modified DE for the abstraction of humic acid from raw water.
High purity solar grade silicon (SOG-Si).
Porous silica ceramics.
Diatomite-based composite with enhanced sorption characteristics.
