Inorganic nanofibers have unique properties (i.e. high surface area, high porosity, good breathability, large surface to volume ratio, and stability) their applications include anodes and cathodes in li-ion batteries. The can additionally act as a fuel cell separator, catalyst, catalyst support, photo catalyst, gas sensors, thermal insulators, metal or ceramic nano-composites, dehumidifiers, abrasives, thermal barrier coatings, and filtration.
