INDY is a potent inhibitor of Dyrk1A and Dyrk1B (dual-specificity tyrosine-phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1). The IC50 values for inhibition of Dyrk1A and 1B are 240 and 230 nM, respectively. INDY impairs the self-renewal capacity of neural stem cells and glioblastoma tumor-initiating cells.
