synthetic peptide corresponding to the third cytoplasmic loop of human gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor conjugated to KLH. The immunizing peptide has between 90% homology with the rat gene and 95% homology with the mouse gene.

应用

Anti-Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Receptor antibody is suitable for immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections) at a concentration of 1-2μg/mL using human pituitary.

生化/生理作用

GnRHR is a seven transmembrane domain receptor belonging to the rhodopsin-like G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. It lacks a cytoplasmic C-terminal domain, which makes it different from other G-protein coupled receptors. It is expressed on the surface of pituitary gonadotrope cells as well as lymphocytes, breast, ovary, and prostate. It stimulates the action of gonadotropin secretion from the pituitary and thereby controls gametogenesis and steroidogenesis in the gonads.
