Pleiotrophin (PTN) is a heparin-binding growth factor, also known as heparin-binding growth-associated molecule, heparin affin regulatory peptide, heparin-binding growth factor-8, heparin-binding neurotrophic factor and osteoblast-specific factor. PTN expression is found during development in cells that are in early differentiation stage. The biological functions of PTN include cell migration, proliferation, angiogenesis and differentiation of neural progenitor cells growth of neuritis and fetal lung development. Cellular signalling of PTN is mediated by the receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase (RPTP) β/zeta and is important in tumor growth, angiogenesis and metastasis. Over expression of PTN is observed in neurodegenerative disorders, breast, prostate, lung cancers, glioblastoma, meningioma and melanoma
Anti-Pleiotrophin specifically recognizes human pleiotrophin.

免疫原

purified recombinant human pleiotrophin expressed in Sf 21 cells.

应用

Anti-Pleiotrophin antibody may be used for immunoblotting at a working concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/ml. The antibody was used for ELISA at a working antibody dilution of 1:200 using cutaneous nerve protein extracts of female Lewis rats.

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline with 5% trehalose.
