HNRNPAB (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein AB) belongs to the hnRNP (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein) family of proteins. Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) shows overexpression of HNRNPAB. It is located on chromosome 5q35.3.

生化/生理作用

HNRNPAB (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein AB) along with actin participates in nuclear-cytoplasmic transport of mRNA. It stimulates EMT (epithelial–mesenchymal transition) and lung cancer metastasis by controlling the expression of E-cadherin, hence it plays a major role in tumor metastasis and malignant progression.
