一般描述
The ZYX (zyxin) gene is mapped to human chromosome 7q34. It encodes a zinc-binding phosphoprotein, belonging to the focal adhesion complex. It is also localized to actin cytoskeleton.

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Zyxin around the phosphorylation site of Ser142.

生化/生理作用
ZYX (zyxin) controls actin filament assembly, and cell motility. It also participates in the regulation of cell division (mitosis), and cell differentiation processes. ZYX is associated with tumor cell proliferation and migration. It is also known to induce the pathogenesis of colon cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Mechanoresponses with respect to integrin and cadherin-based cell adhesion, shows the involvement of zyxin.
