生化/生理作用
Pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase 2 (PYCR2) encodes an enzyme involved in proline synthesis in mitochondria. It converts pyrroline-5-carboxylate to proline. PYCR2 mutations is linked to microcephaly, craniofacial dysmorphism, progressive psychomotor disability, hyperkinetic movements and axial hypotonia with variable appendicular spasticity. PYCR2 is a therapeutic target of melanoma.
