生化/生理作用

SSH3 (Slingshot protein phosphatase 3) is involved in the actin filament assembly. During actin reorganization, LIM-kinase 1 (LIMK1) restricts the activity of ADF (actin-depolymerizing factor)/cofilin, which is a stimulus-responsive mediator of actin dynamics. SSH3 blocks the LIMK1 functions and reactivates ADF/cofilin in vivo by the dephosphorylation. In addition, it is also correlated with several cellular and developmental activities.
