生化/生理作用

Ubiquitin specific peptidase 28 (USP28) is a deubiquitinating enzyme, which is involved in DNA damage pathway. Downregulation of USP28 causes cell apoptosis and upregulation induces non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). USP28 is used as a target of therapy for human malignant glioma, as it contributes to glioma tumorigenicity. USP28 protein expression is used as a prognostic marker for bladder cancer.
