Carbohydrate (N-acetylgalactosamine 4-0) sulfotransferase 8 (CHST8) is a sulfotransferase 2 family member that localizes to the Golgi membrane in the pituitary gland. CHST8 catalyzes the transfer of sulfate to N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) residues in N-glycans and O-glycans. It is involved in the sulfation of luteinizing hormone that is required for sexual maturation.
