CTBP1 is transcription factor that binds to the C-terminus of adenovirus E1A proteins. Studies in mice have reported that this protein is involved in vertebrate development. CtBP1 has also been implicated in the closure of Pak1-dependent macropinosomes.
Rabbit Anti-CTBP1 antibody recognizes rat, mouse, human, and chicken CTBP1.

The phosphoprotein C-terminal binding protein 1 (CTBP-1) binds the C-terminus of adenovirus E1A protein. CTBP-1 is a transcriptional repressor and may play a role during cellular proliferation. A second closely related gene, CTBP2, maps to chromosome 21.
