E2F2 is a transcription factor that is involved in cell growth. The combined loss of E2F2 and E2F1 can impede B-cell differentiation and activate T-cell proliferation in response to subthreshold levels of antigenic stimulation. Furthermore, E2F2 has also been implicated in tumorigenesis.
