免疫原
Synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human IL9
应用
Anti-IL9 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1μg/mL.
生化/生理作用
Interleukin-9 (IL-9) is a pleotropic cytokine produced by activated T cells and also by mast cells in response to LPS and IL-1. The biological effects of IL-9 are mediated by IL-9 receptor (IL-9R) that is made up of an α and a γ chain. The expression of IL-9R is restricted to effector T cells, mast cells and few non-hematopoietic cells. IL-9R signalling results in the activation of major signalling pathways involving STAT1, -3 and -5, MAPK, PI3K and IRS. IL-9R signalling is pro-inflammatory and promotes allergic inflammation and airway remodelling in lungs. It is also important in cell growth and differentiation of T cells, B cells, mast cells, hematopoietic progenitors, epithelial cells and airway smooth muscle cells.
