NAT13, also known as N(alpha)-acetyltransferase 50, NatE catalytic subunit (NAA50; SAN) is associated with the NAT (N-terminal acetyltransferase ) A complex. It catalyzes the acetylation of proteins and displays both protein N alpha- and N epsilon-acetyltransferase activity. The activity of NAA50 is important in stabilization of chromatid cohesion at the centromeres.
