一般描述
Pregnancy-specific β 1-glycoproteins (PSGs), related to the carcinoembryonic antigen family, are major placental, syncytiotrophoblast derived, polypeptides also found in the bloodstream in late pregnancy. Pregnancy specific β-1-glycoprotein 1 (PSG1, B1G1, PBG1) is believe to have immunomodulatory, and proangiogenic roles during pregnancy. PSG1 together with HLA-E (human leukocyte antigen-E) may be involved in early implantation and development of the embryo.

It is used as a probe to determine the roles of pregnancy specific β-1-glycoprotein 1 in placenta and embryonic development.
