A new human gene T-complex 10 like (TCP10L) is downregulated in liver hepatoma tissues. Its homologs in mice belong to the TCP10 family. TCP10L is expressed specifically in the human liver and testis among 30 tissues that were examined in Northern hybridization. A successive analysis, based on the dual luciferase assay system, indicated that the recombinant TCP10L was a transcription factor with transcriptional inhibition activity.
