生化/生理作用

ZNHIT1 (Zinc finger HIT domain-containing protein 1) or p18 Hamlet is a subunit of chromatin-remodeling complex SNF2-related CBP activator protein (SRCAP) that regulates the chromatin structure. It interacts with the orphan receptor Rev-erbβ and removes Rev-erbβ-induced inhibition of apolipoprotein CIII transcription. In the presence of DNA-damage inducing agents, ZNHIT1 interacts with p53 and induces transcription of proapoptotic p53 target genes including cell cycle inhibitor p21(Cip1) (CDKN1A).
