It can exist both as a hemihydrate and as a nonstoichiometric hydrate. It can generally act like a co-enzyme for biochemical reactions involved in carbohydrate metabolism.
应用
Thiamine hydrochloride may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using high-performance liquid chromatography technique.
